Visual Analysis

•The image shows a teenage or young adult girl who is depressed and regrets whatever she has done. Her faces tell us how regretful she is for maybe not listening to what other people tried to warn her about. The first thing we read when we see this advertisement is “Children don’t wake up one morning and decide they’ll be prostitutes… they’re forced into it.” As I said in my essay our young generations make decisions without really thinking about the consequences because of the place they are in. This young girl as my friend Vincent, both feel repentant about the wrong they have done not just to the community, but the wrong they did to themselves.  What the advertisement is trying to tell us is that teenagers, the same as young adults try to better their lives the ugly way, and join illegal groups such as drug gangs or prostitution. We can make a difference by helping out those in need in the least possible way. Sometimes what these type of people need is a little companionship. In this picture what is shown besides this girl being sad, is it also shows how she’s alone without any companionship the same thing that took her into prostitution. Sometimes all people need are words of encouragement to help them through difficult times that make them feel that they are not alone.
